Rode NTK
The Rode NTK Valve 1″ Condenser Microphone is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone which employs Class-A valve circuitry resulting in a warm sonic character. Sporting a cardioid polar pattern, the Rode NTK is designed for vocal and general instrument recording, while providing the sonic character found in higher-priced tube microphones. The capsule features a mylar dual diaphragm sputtered in gold to provide transparent signal reproduction and wide frequency response.

The hand-selected and graded 6922 twin-triode valve comprises the core of the Rode NTK’s circuitry, providing an analog “warmth” and presence that meets the standards of the most demanding engineers. The microphone features a custom-built, Mu-metal transformer developed by Jensen Transformers. The end result is quiet, noise-free output at high-gain levels. The Rode NTK features a separate power supply, providing +48V phantom power.

Like it’s bigger brother the K2, the RODE NTK is a premium valve condenser microphone designed to provide incredible detail and warmth in the studio. Its cardioid polar pattern is perfect for most single instrument recording scenarios.
The electronic circuitry complementing this very sensitive transducer includes a hand-selected twin-triode 6922 valve and audiophile grade components. The result is an ultra-wide dynamic range, low noise, and stunning tube warmth. The NTK’s rich valve sound is ideal for vocals, acoustic instruments, drum overheads, guitar amps and pianos.
